The product was shipped as described. It was quite difficult for me to pass the metal ring through the fabric, because one end of the fabric was narrower than the other, but it was possible with patience. I hope it will help me carry clothes (sweatshirt, jacket...) in my backpack without taking up interior space. That is its intended purpose.
